IDF, Mossad Sites Offline After Cyberattack: Ha’aretz

On November 6th, 2011, Oded Yaron reported for Ha'aretz how the hacker group Anonymous has threatened a cyberattack against the Israeli government in response to its interception of a Gaza-bound flotilla.  Anonymous broadcast the threat by YouTube video and promised repeated cyberattacks on Israeli computer systems until the "siege of Gaza" is lifted.  Although its unclear whether it was the work of Anonymous, the websites of IDF, Shin Bet, and Mossad went down on Sunday.  Anonymous has previously claimed that they've gotten their hands on the Stuxnet code.

UPDATE:  Ha'aretz has reported that the Israeli government denied that a cyber-attack was the reason IDF, Mossad, and Shin Bet websites went down.  The Israeli government said that there was likely a malfunction with the servers.
