The Year Anonymous Took On Cops, Dictators and Existential Dread: Wired

On Jan. 11th, 2012, Quinn Norton wrote for Wired on the hacker group Anonymous.  The article wrapped up a three-part, in-depth look at the hacker group.  The first two articles are linked in this blog post.

This third article tracked the evolution of Anonymous on the global stage, specifically focusing on how the group aided Arab Spring protests.  The article also explored the birth of LulzSec and AntiSec, the blackhat offshoot of Anonymous.

I highly recommend this entire series as it gives an in-depth look at one of the world's biggest hacker groups.  Understanding this group, its membership, and its motivations may gave insight into their next target.  Moreover, Anonymous' actions expose the still sorry state of cybersecurity in the US.

Again, some portions of the articles may be NSFW (not safe for work) due to language.  Consider reading them at home.
