Britain blocks hacker’s extradition to U.S.: Reuters

On 10/16, Tim Castle reported for Reuters on how Britain has refused to extradite hacker Gary McKinnon to the U.S.  According to Reuters, McKinnon previously hacked into both NASA and Pentagon networks, “disabling naval systems and causing more than $700,000 of damage.”  As a result, McKinnon faced a 60 year sentence in U.S. jail if found guilty.

However, Britain’s Home Secretary Theresa May concluded that “Mr. McKinnon’s extradition would give rise to such a high risk of him ending his life that a decision to extradite would be incompatible with Mr. McKinnon’s human rights.”

Apparently McKinnon was looking for evidence of UFOs.
