Department of Energy Compromised in cyberattack: The Washington Free Beacon

The Washington Free Beacon’s Bill Gertz reports:

Computer networks at the Energy Department were attacked by sophisticated hackers in a major cyber incident two weeks ago and personal information on several hundred employees was compromised by the intruders.

Thankfully, it appears that the hackers only stole personal information.  Gertz suggests a Chinese connection, but there is no hard evidence.  The sophistication of the attack does suggest a nation-state, though.
