Jennifer Martinez writes for The Hill on opposition to CISPA 2.0. Noting that Reps. Rogers and Ruppersberger have re-introduced CISPA (which already passed the House in the Spring of 2012), Martinez explained that privacy groups still fear language in the bill which would/could “allow companies to send customers’ electronic communications–including personal information–to the intelligence community and the [NSA].” What’s more, Martinez said that CISPA is even more of an outlier because “it varies significantly” from the cyber EO. Most people thought the cyber EO was weak sauce, so it’s disappointing to think CISPA will face any such comparison.
