Blog Author “Zach” Receives National Award

If you are a regular of this blog, you know that “Zach” is the primary author of posts here.  I am just the editor.  I noticed that he has not revealed his non-cyber identity, so I will respect that while trying to deliver accolades. Yesterday, I received word that he had won a significant 2013 Distinguished Legal Writing Award from a national organization for a paper he wrote on hackback.  According to Wikipedia, for this award:

The award ceremonies are annually held at the Library of Congress in Washington D.C. Prominent officials who have been guest speakers at the event have included Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer, Justice Antonin Scalia, Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Justice Sonia Sotomayor and Justice John Paul Stevens (retired). In the past, other well-known dignitaries have participated in the program including Tom Brokaw, Bob Schieffer, Tim Russert, Chris Matthews, George Will and master of ceremonies, Bill Press.

I am pleased, proud and saddened to share with you that “Zach” will soon be leaving this blog in order to begin service with a United States Government agency.  We wish him all the best.

His understudy “Tara” will take over primary responsibility for updating this blog, supplemented by yours truly and some others.  Tara is an experienced writer, and I am confident that you will continue to find this blog worthy of your precious time each day.

P.S. — I’ll leave it to “Zach” to decide whether to provide a bio-ID here or to respond to any posts or emails with a way for you to stay in contact with him.
