Pentagon accuses Chinese gov’t of cyberattacks, claims direct attribution: AP/CTVNews

Via CTV News, here’s an interesting AP report by Lolita C. Baldor on how DoD has explicitly called out the Chinese government for its cyberattacks.  Baldor writes:

The Pentagon report, released Monday, said that, “In 2012, numerous computer systems around the world, including those owned by the U.S. government, continued to be targeted for intrusions, some of which appear to be attributable directly to the Chinese government and military.”

So, umm, DoD is claiming direct attribution to the Chinese government.  I wonder if this well get the same scrutiny Mandiant did.
