ABCNews posted a story written by Seanna Adcox (of the Associated Press) about that cyberattack on South Carolina’s tax collection agency. Apparently S.C. called in the cybersecurity firm Mandiant to do some cleanup and render an after-action report. The report must have indicated that someone did something wrong because after “weeks of [S.C.’s governor] saying no one was to blame and nothing differently could have been done,” the governor admitted error.
