National Cyber Security Framework Manual Published: NATO CCD COE

NATO Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence has published the “National Cyber Security Framework Manual” which aims to support NATO Member States and Partner Nations as a guide on how to develop or improve their national policies and laws of national cyber security. The publication, supported by NATO Science for Peace and Security Programme, is currently available in an electronic format and the hardcover version will be available from January 2013.

[The Manual] provides detailed background information and in-depth theoretical frameworks to help the reader understand the different facets of national cyber security, according to different levels of public policy formulation. The four levels of government – political, strategic, operational and tactical/technical – each have their own perspectives on national cyber security, and each is addressed in individual sections within the Manual.
