DARPA wants to watch you type: Foreign Policy

I’m a bit late to the party on this one, but still good stuff.

Foreign Policy’s John Reed reports on DARPA’s new Active Authentication program which uses “sensors that can constantly monitor users’ online behavior to determine whether they are who they say they are.”  Passwords are, of course, weak.  Active Authentication will, according to a DARPA program manager, “monitor your computer habits –like your typing patters, the way you use a mouse, and even how you construct sentences.  . . .”  Very cool.
