On Dec. 8th, 2011, the Washington Post carried an AP news report that the Iranian government has already blocked a virtual US embassy set up to reach the residents of Iran. The site was online for just a few hours before it was blocked. The article cited an Iranian lawmaker who believes that the site was just a “new deception by the Great Satan.”
