Britain Would Strike First In Cyberwar: FoxNews

On October 18th, 2011, FoxNews reported on how the British government has stated that it is willing to strike first in order to defend itself against a cyberattack from an enemy state.  William Hague, Great Britain's Foreign Secretary, told reporters that "We will defend ourselves in every way we can, not only to deflect but to prevent attacks that we know are taking place."  However, Mr. Hague noted that there is no guarantee that Britain could repel a major cyber assault on the nation's essential infrastructure as "There is no 100 percent defense against this, just as there isn't against any other form of attack."
