On Dec. 5th, 2011, Jason Overdorf reported for GlobalPost on a new Indian initiative to defend their country against cyberattack. According to the article, Indian authorities were worried after seeing the impact that Stuxnet had. As such, Indian authorities designed a "national registry of hackers with the training to protect the country's critical electronic infrastructure" called the National Security Database. Hackers have to pass a test and pay a $500 fee, but once they are in, they can aid authorities in solving cybercrimes and protecting critical infrastructure. Not a bad idea.
