Anonymous Targets . . . ‘Cuse? Post-Standard

On Feb. 2nd, 2012, Douglass Dowty reported for the Post-Standard on a new Anonymous hacking attack.  Anonymous generally targets law enforcement (and as ABC reports, recently listened in to a conference call between the FBI and Scotland Yard).  Consistent with that theme, Anonymous took down the public website of the Syracuse Police Department.  The article noted that the hackers did not access police reports or other sensivite information.

Why on earth would Anonymous target SPD?  Apparently for their knowledge of the Bernie Fine case
