Cyber Exploitation

Masters of the cyber-universe: China’s state-sponsored hackers are ubiquitous and totally unabashed (The Economist)

Okay, some of you may have already seen this The Economist article (it has made its rounds on Twitter), but for those who haven’t, it’s fantastic.  I’ve already quoted a ton of material from The Economist tonight, and no simple summary would do the article justice, so I’ll just leave you with the link.  I do have to quote this great line from Dmitri Alperovitch (CrowdStrike), however:

They don’t care if they get caught . . . They’ll go into an organisation and then stay there for five, six years, which of course increases the chances that they get caught . . . [The Chinese] don’t see any downsides to being caught. They have so far not suffered economically or politically for being caught.

Definitely worth a read.
